ABOUT VIA POLA WINES
HERITAGE. CULTURE. TASTE.
Our wines reflect our culture, heritage and local region.
Beginning in the cobblestone street of Via Pola in the small Italian town of Sulmona, Abruzzo, the late Pietro Valeri embraced his passion for working the land. This passion was passed down resulting in the conception of Via Pola Wines.
Beginning with a blank canvas of an empty farm in Riverina NSW, our alternate varietal grapes were planted by our family in 2022. We have nurtured these vines with care and passion, resulting in plants that yield high-quality fruit.
Our philosophy is simple. We focus on growing varieties suited to our unique climate which exhibit balance, restrain and most importantly, exceptional fruit. It is through this viticultural approach that we are able to create unique wines that push the boundaries of quality and flavour. Put simply, we let the "fruit do the talking".
We’re here to delight your palate with fresh, captivating, and inviting flavours drawn from exceptional vineyards.

Our Founder
At the heart of Via Pola Wines stands our founder, winemaker, and viticulturist, Peter Valeri.
Drawing on his extensive experience crafting wines both in Australia and internationally, Peter's passion for wine and viticulture shines through in every bottle.
Being born and raised in the Riverina, Peter is delighted to showcase the very best that the region has to offer.

Our Vineyards
Nestled in the heart of the Riverina in Griffith, NSW, lies the Via Pola Vineyard.
Family owned and family run we take a hands on approach to viticulture. We believe that all great wines are made in the vineyard and therefore strive for perfection when nurturing our vines.
The vineyard is comprised of both new and old developed blocks. Our first vines were planted in 2008 followed by our most recent plantings in 2022.
We believe the key to success is choosing varieties ideally suited to the warm Riverina climate whilst growing vines with balance and restrain. It just so happens that the varieties perfect for growing on our farm are Italian varieties, forming connections with our Italian heritage. This only makes us even more passionate about the wines we make, from vine to table.
